Scava il solco nel primo tempo, aiutato dal centometrista Jacoby Jones e dall'immenso, fantastico Anquan Boldin (co-MVP de facto della partita). Poi sparisce, fa il suo, scrive altri 6 punti e amministra il gioco senza errori particolari. Chiude la post-season con 11TD e 0 INT, numeri alla Joe Montana, numeri che lo faranno andare alla cassa molto presto (100-110 milioni di contratto, azzardo) e meritatamente. He was a hell of a LB but as a human being he won’t be missed. Guy is the worst of all worlds: probably killed those two people, had his buddies take the fall, testified against said friends (i.e. a RAT, or a SNITCH depending on your ethnic background), yet hides behind God at every turn. What happened that night is Ray Lewis was right in the middle of it sticking a knife in to both those guys. Than when they got back to the limo he stripped down and they dumped his bloodied white suit and murder weapon into a fast food restaurants dumpster. After that he convinced his friends to take the blame in exchange for $. He paid off the families. What a hero let’s all praise him for being the disciple of god that he is. Il fatto è che i Patriots in quanto a cap stanno messi bene (18 milioni sotto), ma devono rifirmare Welker, Talib e Vollmer...ed è impossibile firmarli tutti e tre. Con Welker visto il rapporto negozierei un biennale a cifre più basse, sugli 8-9 milioni, metterei la franchise tag su uno tra Talib o Vollmer (io direi il primo, un tackle destro si rimpiazza) e lascerei libero l'altro a meno che qualcuno - leggi Brady, Mankins (prende 10M) o Gostkowski - si ristrutturi il contratto. Poi però c'è il capitolo "cosa ti serve per migliorarti e evitare di incappare negli errori del 20 gennaio". Per me i bisogni principali dei Pats sono, in ordine: safety, profondità in WR, pass rush e profondità in DT. Le ultime due cose si rimediano tramite draft, dove difficilmente sbagli pick su quei tipi di ruolo. Draftare safety o wide receiver al draft sperando che siano efficienti al livello (altissimo) dei Patriots sin dal giorno 1 mi sembra un tantino ingeneroso. Io andrei su Reed sinceramente. Ha 35 anni ok, ma può essere il mentore di tutta la difesa, gli avversari sono un pò più cauti a lanciare lungo quando c'è lui...ed è ancora nella top 5. Mike Wallace, Piè, significa rinunciare a Welker...ma nonostante ciò, è il migliore del lotto. A Jennings e Bowe gli starei alla larga...cmq vediamo. King reports that the extension will include a $3 million signing bonus, as well as salaries of $7 million in 2015, $8 million in 2016, and $9 million in 2017. The deal will keep Brady in a Patriots uniform until he is 40 years old. The quarterback has said in the past he would like to play until he was at least 40. The modest figures for Brady afford the Patriots substantial salary cap flexibility, as other elite level quarterbacks have signed for annual salaries that are twice that of what Brady will be paid each season under the extension. That will help as the team prepares to deal with the NFL's projected flat salary cap for the coming seasons. The extension is expected to afford the Patriots $15 million of cap space over the next two seasons. Per King, Brady's salary cap number will be as follows over the life of his remaining contract (now five seasons): 2013: $13.8 million; 2014: $14.8 million; 2015: $13 million; 2016: $14 million; and $15 million in 2017.
