Il primo disco "Food and Liquor" è un piccolo capolavoro, quando lo ascolto solitamente non ne skippo neanche una e contiene piccole gemme come Daydreamin ( con Jill Scott ), The Instrumental, The Emperor's Soundtrack ( il ritornello è una bomba ), Hurt Me Soul, I gotcha, Kick Push. "The Cool" contiene pezzi stupendi anche quello anche se come sonorità mi sento più vicino al primo. In questo c'è ad esempio Superstar, che è quasi magica ed è probabilmente la sua miglior canzone imho, di sicuro nella sua top 3. C'è Hip Hop Saved My life, molto bella e intensa come testo, Streets on fire che ha un'atmosfera e un testo pazzeschi: he poor say the rich have the cure the rich say the poor are the source revolutionaries say it's physiological war invented by the press, just to have something to report some say the first case came from a maternity ward some say a morgue, some say the skies, some say the floors whores say the nuns, nuns say the whores and everybody is sure the scientist say it only affects the mind the little boy said it only affects the girls the preacher man said it's going to kill off the soul a bum said it's going to kill the whole wide world. Sto pezzo è veramente da capogiro, una metafora della società impressionante Poi c'è Put you on game che è un gran bel testo con un atmosfera molto strana per lui. Altre canzoni belle come Gold Watch, Hello Goodbye ad esempio. Il disco o qualunque cosa fosse dell'anno scorso non l'ho sentito purtroppo. C'è da dire che tecnicamente e liricalmente è un fenomeno.
